How we handle product reviews

As required by Article 21-4 of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and Article 27-3 of its Enforcement Decree, Humanly Inc. (the "Company") publishes below the standards it applies when collecting and handling product reviews. These are the rules we actually operate by.

1. Who can write a review

· Only a signed-in member who has actually bought the product can write a review of it.
· The order must be in one of these states: paid, ordered, shipped or delivered. Unpaid, cancelled or refunded orders cannot be used to write a review.
· One review per person per product.
· Guest orders cannot be reviewed. Please register and order with that account if you would like to review a purchase.
· We never offer money, points, free gifts or any other benefit in exchange for a review, and we do not publish reviews written for compensation.

2. How long a review stays up

· A review is published on the product page as soon as it is submitted, and stays up for 3 years from the date it was posted.
· If the author asks us to remove it, we take it down without delay regardless of that period.
· When a product is withdrawn from sale, its reviews stop being shown along with the product page.

3. How star ratings work and what they affect

· The author chooses a rating from 1 to 5 stars. We never adjust it or apply any weighting.
· The average rating and review count shown on a product page are calculated from customer-written reviews only.
· Notes written by the shop itself are excluded from the average rating and are never included in the structured data we publish to search engines. On screen they are labelled "Posted by the shop · A note from the shop, not a customer review".
· Ratings do not affect how products are sorted or recommended.
· Author names are shown with the middle characters masked to protect privacy.

4. When we hide or delete a review

We hide or delete a review only in the cases below. A negative opinion or a low star rating is never, in itself, a reason for removal.

· Abuse, defamation or discriminatory language that damages or insults another person
· Obscene material or content harmful to minors
· Content that exposes another person's personal data (contact details, address, bank account) or private life
· Content that infringes copyright, trade marks or other third-party rights
· Advertising, promotion, solicitation or outbound links unrelated to the product
· Repeated identical postings or anything else that disrupts normal operation of the service
· A removal request from the author
· Content that breaks the law, or a lawful order from an investigative authority or a court

When we take a review down on one of these grounds, we tell the author which ground applied.

5. How to appeal a removal

· If you disagree with a review being deleted or hidden, contact customer service with the product name and roughly when you wrote it.
· We will review the decision and reply with the outcome and our reasons within 7 days of receiving your appeal.
· If the review turns out not to fall under any removal ground, we restore it exactly as it was.
· If you disagree with our reply, you may apply for mediation to the Korea Consumer Agency (call 1372 in Korea) or the Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee.

6. Personal data inside a review

The purpose and retention period for the display name, rating and text in a review are set out in our Privacy policy. Writing a review is entirely optional and choosing not to has no effect on your order, delivery or refund.
