Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a hanbok size?
Women hanbok uses the 55, 66, 77 and 88 notation. Choose the jeogori by shoulder width and bust, and the chima by your height. By bust measurement: 55 is 82-86cm, 66 is 87-92cm, 77 is 93-99cm and 88 is 100-106cm. Men hanbok uses 95, 100, 105 and 110, read against both chest and waist. If you fall between two sizes, the larger one is usually more comfortable to move in.
How should I clean a hanbok?
It depends on the fabric. Silk pieces (myeongju, jamisa, oksa) and formal wedding hanbok are dry clean only. Cotton and linen everyday hanbok can be hand washed separately below 30°C with a neutral detergent and dried in the shade. If a garment has gold leaf or embroidery, tell your cleaner - ironing directly over the decoration damages it. Care instructions are listed on each product page.
How should I store a hanbok?
Leaving a hanbok on a hanger stretches the shoulder line. After wearing, have it dry cleaned and then store it folded flat inside a breathable non-woven cover. Vinyl covers trap moisture and cause mildew and odour. Ceremonial pieces with embroidery or gold leaf are better laid flat in a wide box so no crease marks form.
Do you offer rentals?
At the moment we sell only. Ceremonial pieces such as the hwarot and samo-gwandae are also sale items. If you are looking to rent, contact us and we will point you in the right direction.
Can I order a custom size or have alterations made?
Everything sold in this online store is a finished garment in a standard size. If you note a skirt length or heel height with your order, we use it to pick the closest size we have in stock and to check the parcel before dispatch. A note like that does not make your order a made-to-order item, and the 7-day right of withdrawal still applies in full. If you want a hanbok cut to your own measurements, contact customer service before paying: that is a separate consultation and quotation, we tell you in advance that withdrawal will be restricted and begin only with your agreement, and it takes two to four weeks to make.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to most countries, including Japan, China, Southeast Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania. Shipping is calculated from the destination country and the total weight of your order, and is shown at checkout. International delivery takes 3 to 21 business days via EMS. Please note - customs duties and import taxes are not included in the shipping fee and may be charged to the recipient under the destination country rules.
What are the domestic shipping fee and free shipping threshold?
Domestic shipping within Korea is 3,000 KRW, and free on orders of 50,000 KRW or more. Delivery takes 2 to 5 business days after payment; remote islands and mountain areas may add 1 to 2 days.
How do exchanges and returns work?
You can request an exchange or return within 7 days of delivery. Before the order ships you can cancel it yourself from My Page. Items that have been altered to measure, worn, or washed cannot be returned. Natural creasing and slight colour variation inherent to the fabric are not considered defects.
